Dadar Matunga Branch Established in The Year 1938by Smt. Yamunabai Hirlekar. The Founder Members were Smt. Indumati Dharap,Smt. Indumati Purandare,Smt.Manorama Chaphekar,Smt.Indutai Kulkarni,Smt.Kamlabai Joshi,Smt.Chitratai Chandratreya,Smt.Manorama Phadke and so many other Bhaginies.At Present Adviser is Smt. Sharayu Thakur.
The Aim of the Branch is to work hard for the overall Development Of Women & Children to make their Life Culturally Happier and Healtheir and also to attempt in making them better citizen. We are look from discrimination of cast and creed or involvement in Politics.

In Chaturmas, July to Oct.On Every Wednesday Lectures conducted by Various speakers on ‘ Sant & their Literature & thoughts ‘
- Balodyan School - Incharge - Smt. Sulakshana Nimgaonkar. The school is run for lower middle class. There are Hundred Children in Bal-wadi. We provide lunch them every Day. Medical chek-up is arrange every year. We arrange lectures for their parents on how children are to be nurtured. We celebrate Nationa and Religious festivals to know the Indian Culture to the students.
- Sewing Class – Incharge – Smt. Anjali Wairkar. Lions Club of East Mumbai is helping every year. Children’s and Ladies cloths are teaches. Twenty girls and women are in this class. Six sewing Machines are here.Timing is Monday to Friday – 2.30 Pm. To 4.30 Pm.
- Kala Kendra – Incharge – Smt. Sheetal Utpat. Initially ‘ Kala-Kendra ‘ is a part of the sewing class. Only on Wednesday we taught Embroidery, Knitting and Craft articals.
- Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiitee – Inchrge – Smt. Shalini Meher. School fees rare give to the respective school for their deserving and needy students of low income group, selecting by the principals, Every year we are giving Fees and Note-books to the 250 students [ School, Collage and Vocational Courses ]. We also helpthe blind and handicapped students as well as the students from Cncer Rehabilitation Centre. Prizes are give to who excel in their S.S.C. Exam who took fes fromus.Students who top in individual subjects are also honoured. In the month of September we arrange a Function, inviting Prominent speakers to guide the students to take inspiration from them.The huge support of the Donners we are able to do this work.
- Liberary – Incharge – Smy. Saroj Babladi. Liberary open on every Wednesday berween 2.15 Pm. To 3.30Pm. There are 2500 Books of Marathi literatyre. We organize ‘ Book Review ‘ every year for ladies and Essay Compitition.
- Abhang and Bhakti-Geet Compitition - Incharge - Smt. Neela Thatte. It starts in the month of ‘ Kartk ‘ [ Nov. or Dec. ] every year. Frim age group 8 years to 16 years children and 17 years to 65 years ladies. Compitition is run 3 days. We invite well-known singers, Music-Directors for the Prize distribution Function.
- Jeevan Sanskruti Vibhag - Incharge - Smt Sharmila Aarte. We gives Sarees, Daris, Medicines and lunch to 25 needy senior- citizens. Arrange lectures to them.
- Udyog Mandir - Incharge - Smt. Medha Jambhekar. Manufacture and Supply home eatable items for our members and launch to our ‘ Balodyan School ‘. Once in a year organize a Cooking compition.
Apart from this every Wednesday we organizes lectures on varios topics ranging from Legal, educative and socio economic subjects. Medical Camp for members and open to all others. Yoga class is running regularly.Presently ‘ Pearl-Beeds Articals ‘ class is running.
Our Branch is progressing well due to the Enthusiastic participation and mutual co-operation of all the members of the working committee and hudge support of our donners.
